KVAMA Receives Heartland ARts Fund Grant

The Kickapoo Valley Acoustic Association (Larryfest) is among a select group of Midwest presenters chosen to receive a Heartland ARts Fund grant.

This award will support an upcoming performance of The Bluegrass Brothers at Larryfest on August 19th & 20th 2005. The Bluegrass Brothers will also be involved in a workshop at the Larryfest songwriter stage in which the group will provide information about bluegrass music, education and demonstration.

This presentation is supported by the Heartland Arts Fund, a program of Arts Midwest funded by the National Endowment for the Arts with additional contributions from General Mills Foundation, Land O'Lakes Foundation, Sprint Corporation and the Kickapoo Valley Acoustic Music Association. The Heartland Arts Fund enables individuals and families throughout America's heartland to share in and to enjoy the arts and cultures of our region and world.

David J. Fraher, Heartland Arts Fund Chairman said, "The Kickapoo Valley Acoustic Music Association is to be commended for their commitment to serving their community with this distinctive event. Audiences in rural Wisconsin will have the opportunity to see the exciting work of The Bluegrass Brothers, many for the first time, and the Heartland Arts Fund is proud to support this work and The Kickapoo Valley Acoustic Music Association along with Larryfest."
